Data handling
Privacy Policy
Version 2026-08-31
Court97 uses the minimum data needed to run the game, operate paid placements, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate use. It does not sell personal data or use sponsor activity for behavioral advertising.
Data we handle
The game stores pseudonymous player and sponsor credentials as one-way digests, scores and replay inputs, optional display names, sponsor domains and taglines, checkout and payment references, document-version receipts, moderation records, and coarse operational events. Stripe separately collects the identity, contact, payment, and fraud-prevention data entered in its hosted Checkout.
Why we use it
We use this data to run rounds and leaderboards, associate a browser with its Checkout status, rank independent sponsor placements, confirm payment, prepare safe creative, investigate abuse, answer support and legal requests, prevent duplicate counting, reconcile provider records, and publish aggregate totals. Required data cannot be omitted where doing so would prevent the requested game or sponsor function.
Providers and overseas processing
Convex provides application data and file storage, Stripe provides hosted payment and fraud services, and infrastructure providers host and deliver the website. If sponsor audio is enabled, ElevenLabs receives the sponsor domain and optional tagline to generate synthetic speech; these providers may process data outside the operator’s home jurisdiction under their own security, retention, and transfer arrangements.
Retention
Online-presence digests expire after about 90 seconds, sponsor-click deduplication records after one hour, and attributable growth events after 90 days. Aggregate visitor and click totals contain no per-visitor identity and are retained for historical reporting; sponsor, payment, legal-acceptance, moderation, dispute, and security records are kept only as long as needed for the service, accounting, legal claims, fraud prevention, and mandatory retention.
Generated sponsor media is currently retained in first-party storage, including superseded creative, so production sponsor audio remains disabled until a reference-safe deletion policy is implemented. A browser Checkout credential remains on the buyer’s device until browser storage is cleared; Court97 stores only its digest and uses it for Checkout status and abuse controls, not as ownership of a domain or placement.
Choices and rights
You may ask for access to or correction of personal data, object where applicable, or request deletion subject to payment, dispute, security, and legal-retention needs. The exact data controller and privacy contact are launch prerequisites and will be published here before production Checkout opens.
